MSIG Hong Kong won Digital Insurance Initiative of the Year at Insurance Asia Awards 2019
MSIG Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited (“MSIG”) has won the Digital Insurance Initiative of the Year – Hong Kong for the MSIG mobile app (“app”) at the Insurance Asia Awards 2019.
Mr. Philip G. Kent, Chief Executive Officer of MSIG Hong Kong, said, “We are very grateful and proud of this recognition. In the 12 months since the release of the app, the number of downloads has exceeded our expectations.”
MSIG App is customer-centric by design—it is equipped with social login integration and custom reminders, as well as both Apple Pay and Google Pay to accommodate smooth payments. It features an e-wallet in which customers can enjoy rewards and store coupons they have earned. It also includes the MSIG Member Loyalty Program, which enables customers to earn MSIG$ for every HKD they spend on premiums.
Recognising that digital innovation is the key to driving and improving customer experiences, the app forms part of a multi-platform, synchronised customer experience, alongside MSIG’s e-commerce website and Facebook Messenger Chatbot, focused on optimal convenience and secure service in its mobile delivery. Customers now can benefit from the streamlined mobile enrolment experience, user-friendly interface, enhanced control of their personal accounts and the ability to make enquiries on their own device anytime, anywhere.
The Insurance Asia Awards is organised by Charlton Media Group. The Awards honour insurance companies in the Asia-Pacific region that rise to challenges, and recognise their initiatives that make the most of market opportunities. Nominations from across Asia-Pacific were reviewed by an esteemed panel of judges and experts from across the region to select the very best candidates for the awards.
