Skyrunner champions excel on Hong Kong Island route - 1st Race roundup: MSIG HK50 2015/16 Series

On November 8th, over 1,000 athletes from near and far took part in the 1st race of the MSIG HK50 2015/16 Series ("HK Island race") of trail running events. As presenting sponsor, MSIG is a proud supporter of this unique and challenging sport. Trail runners must call on great reserves of technical skill and endurance. They quite literally go above and beyond in every race and that is an attitude that resonates with us. 

Many of our business partners, along with MSIG staff, took part in the race. All of the athletes, including our business partners, praised the course design, event organisation, and stunning views of Hong Kong. The support of the many people who cheered them on along the route was particularly encouraging.

The MSIG Lantau 50 will be held on December 5-6. It is also the 1st time that we will introduce an extra cash prize called "MSIG Double" to reward runners attempting to push their limits by joining the "warm up" Vertical Kilometre race followed by the 27- or 50-km race at Lantau 50.
